
Olivier Dufeu is currently the beverage director at Essex House’s South Gate. Prior to that, Olivier has served as the wine director at David Bouley, Café Boulud and the Ryland Inn and the sommelier at Le Manoir Aux Quat Saison, Le Bernardin and Morrell’s Restaurant and Wine Bar.
A native of France, Olivier attended La Guerche de Bretagne in France and Mention Sommellerie at Saint Meen Le Grand. His interest in wine was sparked by his sister, the owners of the wine shop in his hometown, and sommeliers he met over the years. Olivier also considered a career in accounting or law enforcement before committing to a career in wine and service.
His favorite wine regions include Burgundy, Rhone, Wachau, Priorat and Languedoc.
Olivier is currently reading Les Gouttes de Dieu and listening to the Silversun Pickups, Interpol and The XX.
