BEST SOMMELIER IN AMERICA

Considered by many to be among the most prestigious awards in the hospitality industry, the “Best Sommelier in America” competition was launched as a means to recognize and celebrate the talents, knowledge, and dedication of industry professionals nationwide. The two-day event consists of a series of exams that test the competitors’ service and blind tasting skills, in addition to their advanced theoretical knowledge of wine. The competition culminates in a gala dinner and awards ceremony honoring the achievements of the candidates.

Candidates are expected to demonstrate a mastery of a number of areas of knowledge, including:
